TASS/FREE TRIAL When
downloading this program it is suggested that you choose
"Save" rather than "Open". Save TASS in
your "C Drive" , "Program Files". This download
could take up to one hour depending on your internet
connection. Once the download is complete, you must
install the program on your computer. After
Installation, a security box will come up asking for the
Unlock code for TASS. If you have purchased TASS, you
will be emailed this Unlock code. For our 30 Day Trial
user's simply click on the 30-Day trial button. Should
you decide to purchase TASS during or after your 30-Day trial
period, all information entered into TASS will be saved and
incorporated into your purchased version of TASS.
**IT
IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DISABLE ANY FIREWALL, ANTI-VIRUS AND
ANTI-SPY WARE THAT YOU MAY BE RUNNING AS IT COULD SLOW/INHIBIT
THE DOWNLOAD PROCESS**
TASS QUICK GUIDE
STEP 1:
Insert CD into computer and download program. It is
suggested that you save the download to your desktop. You
should now run the program setup from your desktop. Once TASS
is opened, you will be prompted to enter "Unlock Code". If you
have purchased or leased TASS, you will be given this code.
Otherwise click on "Free Trial Version" After use of this
Trial Version, if you decided to purchase the program, all
information already entered will be automatically transferred to
the full version.
STEP 2: Open TASS and click on
"File" & "Company Registry". All information should be filled
out for your auction co. here.
STEP 3:
Network set from the "File" menu is where you'll set up
the network structure for WiFi or RF modem use. The
computer hosting the information will automatically be assigned
number 1. Each successive computer connecting to computer
number 1 will be assigned 2-9. Register Consignor's, Click on "Clients" & "New". Fill
out all appropriate info. for that client. Click on "Save" and
exit. (All clients are automatically given a 5-digit number)
STEP 4:
Schedule Auction, Click on "Auction" & "New". The auction
page will be displayed. Each auction can be given a name.
(Ex: Multi consignor or name of consignor for one consignor
sale) Trail printing feature prints off items as they sell in
multiple format for a preset amount. this ensures that in
the event of power failure, all items are retained. Fill in Auction city, St. Next, Click
on the "Schedule" button. Enter dates & time for auction and
click "New", then "Ok".
STEP 5:
Next, click on
"Client List" button, highlight and select all consignors
scheduled for this auction and then click on "Close" To set up
the commission structure for each client, click on the drop down
menu next to client list and highlight a client. Once the
desired client is in the drop down box, you can enter type of
auction, commission
structure and expense information. You MUST click on
SAVE
before setting up another clients' commission structure. Once
"SAVE" has been clicked, then choose another client from the
drop down menu and repeat process. The "Invoice Footer
Text" field allows you to enter information that will be
advertised on the bidders invoice at checkout. A small
company logo can be imported at this point. Buyer's premium can
be added to this auction and associated to the auctioneer or
client. Tiered commission structure is for a total of ALL items
and is not assigned to amounts chosen. Close out of this page and
notice the "Auctions List" page is full of all clients scheduled
for auction.
STEP 6:
To enter items before
or during auction, highlight an auction from the "Auctions" page
& Click on "List Items" & "New". At this point, you must choose
a client from the drop down. Whatever client is showing in
the drop down menu is where funds will be issued once item is
sold. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT
CLIENT THAT THE ITEM SELLING BELONGS TOO. You will notice
that this system automatically assigns a # for this item. YOU
CANNOT change this #. This is how the systems knows who to pay
for this item. You can enter your own assigned # in the "LOT
ID" box. Enter info in all fields and click on "Save". If next
item is for same client, click on "New", if another client,
Choose another client from the drop down menu and proceed.
STEP 7:
Register Bidders- From
the Auctions page, click on "Bidders" & "New Bidder" or "Swipe
Bidders" (for those with the optional card swipe). Enter ALL
info for bidder and click on "Save". This bidder is now
registered for this auction.
STEP 8:
Checkout- From the
"List Items" page, highlight a bidder # and click on
"Checkout". Enter Payment Type, Amount and click on "NEW"
IMPORTANT!! If you don't click on "New" item will not be
recorded as a payment. Then click on "Print Invoice" NOTE:
Ensure that your printer is listed in your system as your
default printer!
STEP 9:
Print Auction Summary-
From "List Items" page, click on "Print". Info will be displayed
such as paid and unpaid items and payment types for
reconciliation purposes.
STEP 10:
Settlement- Each
client will have a settlement statement and can be accessed
from the Auctions page. Simply find that client and double
click on their name. Click on the "Settlement" button and print
the individual settlement report for this client.
